Pizzone is the passion project of two Italian friends living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their goal: to introduce America to Milano-style pizza first as a delivery brand and then ultimately as a packaged food. Pizzone translates to “really big pizza” and is sold by the slice. Different from Neapolitan-style pizza, these thicker slices hold up well to delivery, they are very forgiving and can even be frozen and reheated without compromising quality. Pizza is near universal. It is loved all over the world. In recent years many different styles of pizza have entered the market, each carving out a different niche and each with their own merit: Detroit, New York, Napolitano, Sicilian, Roman Pinse, and many more. People are receptive and pizza has never been more interesting. This makes for a crowded and competitive marketplace, especially for a new virtual brand operating out of another restaurant’s kitchen.

Inspired by iconic postmodern Milano design, bright colors and geometric shapes bring a sense of energy and immediately grab attention. An oversized custom work mark immediately conveys a sense of the brand's uniquely "really big" product style. Vivid photography focuses on the light, airy nature of the crust while creating a highly recognizable and attention-grabbing aesthetic on social media. Our team crafted strong storytelling about the origin and “by the slice” model that has resonated with press and audiences alike. Additionally our team enacted media outreach, paid and organic social media campaigns, influencer partnerships and email marketing to build momentum for this exciting new brand, which continues to see steady increases in sales and awareness.
