Johnna Quinn

Senior Director of Creative Services

Johnna believes the strongest hospitality brands are built when strategy and design work hand in hand. As Carbonate's Creative Director, she partners closely with clients and the agency's strategists and designers to translate brand positioning into thoughtful visual identities and applications including websites, menus, packaging, environments, and campaigns that create meaningful guest experiences and support business growth. With the conviction that great design should communicate as much as it captivates, Johnna ensures every creative decision reinforces the story a brand is trying to tell.

Before joining Carbonate, Johnna served as Creative Designer for Charleston-based hospitality group The Indigo Road, where she brought print and digital design for 26 restaurant locations in-house and led several rebrand initiatives. Earlier in her career, she was Creative Director for New York City's renowned restaurant group The Meatball Shop before founding her own design studio, where she spent a decade building hospitality, lifestyle, and consumer brands. She has also developed exclusive product collaborations with brands including West Elm, Target, Urban Outfitters, and Sight Unseen, and her work has been featured in major national publications.

Johnna holds a B.F.A. from Arizona State University and a Certificate in Digital Branding from the Pratt Institute in NYC. Constantly on the quest for her next adventure, she bought a one-way plane ticket to Egypt in her early 20s to solo-backpack across Eastern Europe, and has since traveled across 22 countries. Her curiosity about people, places, and cultures continues to inspire the way she approaches design and storytelling.
