The Brief

Our team has been privileged to work on several new concepts with Good Times Restaurant Group, the highly-regarded team behind ROOH (a multi-location Michelin-recommended Indian restaurant). With Alora, our team helped name and develop the brand identity for the hospitality group's first non-Indian focused concept. Alora, meaning “beautiful dreamer,” is a refined yet convivial San Francisco waterfront restaurant that melds the vibrant flavors, ingredients and dishes from countries spanning the vast Mediterranean coastline with market-driven California cuisine. The brand persona and verbal identity embody a spirit of dreamlike wanderlust, conveyed in a proprietary brand poem that appears on the menus, and sets the stage for the dining experience.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Inspired by the golden, sun-kissed coasts from the Mediterranean to the San Francisco Bay, the visual identity pulls in vibrant coastal colors that pair cool blues and warm oranges alongside punchy accents of neon pink foil stamped embellishments. Hand drawn icons are reminiscent of ancient symbols inspired by the sea, and splashes of vintage beachside photography add a sense of nostalgia that feels familiar and comfortable, while still fresh and energetic. The resulting brand identity works harmoniously with the interiors and culinary vision to create a dreamy coastal dining experience.

Alora

Set along the SF Bay,
Where sunbeams shine and dance all day
The water, a deep and tranquil blue,
Reflects the sky, a mirrored hue.

The air is sweet with salty breeze,
Carried on the wings of ease,
And every step upon the pier
Is a journey far away from here.

For in this land of sun and sea,
We find a peace, tranquility
And though we travel far and wide,
Our dreams will always be our guide.

From coast to coast our spirits roam,
But Alora always feels like home.
